NYC DAY 3: THE HIGH LINE, PAINTBOX, & DRY-BAR

I told you pretty flowers shops were everywhere:

This morning we got up and headed towards 17th and 7th to eat breakfast at this cafe called BEC, Bacon-Egg-Cheese; yes, please! I didn’t bring my camera because afterwards we went on a run and I wouldn’t of had anywhere to put it! The breakfast sammy wasn’t the only thing that was great, the coffee was on point too.

We walked over by the Whitney Museum and checked out the High Line which was beautiful. It used to be an old railroad, but they turned it into a beautiful mile and a half long walkway/park. The view was incredible and was lined with amazing apartment complexes that were very cool (and depressing😩) to look at. After, we headed down towards the Hudson River and ran on the path towards the Hudson River Park & Pier.

After heading back to the hotel and getting ready, we took a cab down to SoHo for our Paintbox nail appointment! Of course, we stopped at Brandy Melville and a few other spots on the way. If you don’t know what Paintbox is click here. It’s an amazing nail salon (manicures only) that does gel or polish nail art. I’m in love with the way mine turned out. (Mine are the ones on the left, moms are on the right).

We then headed to our next appointment to get a fab blowout at a fab place, Dry Bar! Last time we were in NYC we went and got our hair styled here and loved the way it turned out! What’s funny is that after we got our hair done that time, my mom went to dinner with my dad and I went back to the hotel room and took a bunch of selfies. So, I made sure I had a place to wear my hair to this time around.

We ate some d e l i s h dinner at this place called The Marshal between 44th and 45th. It was a tiny place, however we ate some awesome american food (ribs, fish, bacon wrapped corn on the cob… isn’t your mouth just watering) and it had great service!

Lol, we actually went and saw half of Something Rotten on broadway; however, at intermission we left because we just weren’t that into it and quite honestly, we we’re exhausted. But hey, on the way home we saw some people filming something which was pretty interesting. So, maybe our early departure was for the best.

I’m coming home tomorrow!! Leaving the city is definitely a love/hate thing. I miss my bed, boyfriend, and the rest of my family, however, there’s so much more I want to do here! I’ll just have to save it for next time, I guess! Overall, I think this earned a spot in my top 3 favorite NYC trips. Honestly, one of my favorite things about this one was that every restaurant we went to, we got a great table with an even better view, lol! Hey, it’s always about the ambiance I mean, am I right? We also saw and went places I’ve never been to before and I think that’s the biggest reason it was so special. It’s like I’m getting to know the city a little more each time I’m here. I was inspired, enlightened, and productive; what more could you ask for out of a trip? So, until next time, New York.

Stay full of new adventure and opportunity🌃,
